Just a quick update, I have checked SamiKiesUpdates on Twitter and it looks like Samsung are seeding the S3 4.1.1 update to France, Spain and Romania. It looks like the update should be this week for UK S3 owners, so not much longer.
No solid info regarding update for the UK S3 user yet.
Edit: One thing I noticed about Jelly Bean is that there is no notification toggle?

Just an update for the US S3 owners and it's not good news. Samsung USA have announced that the S3 Jelly Bean will be coming to US users in the coming months, with each Network to confirm specific dates. This is just as vague as any other news regarding updates from any Samsung division.
I have read reports earlier today that the US S3 users are likely to expect an update in January 2013...when Samsung are saying 'months' it looks highly likely that our neighbours across the Atlantic won't see an update this year....hope it's not the case.
Samsung release Jelly Bean Stock Calendar app on Google Play
Google has released the stock Jelly Bean Calendar application on the Play Store that can now be installed by anyone with a device running Android 4.0.3 and above.
This is great for someone who has an Android device with a custom calendar application, such as the ones Samsung and HTC like to install on their devices, but want to use the stock Calendar app that you find on Nexus devices.
If you already had this application pre-installed on your device, you would have an update waiting for you in Play Store. This means that Google can now update the app through the Play Store, rather than through the next version of Android, whenever that happens. After the update, you’ll notice that the app now has a new icon. Other than that, the application is identical to the previous version.

Switched my S3 on this morning and a software update started to download. I now have version 4.1.1 here in the UK![]()
Nice one. Could let us know whether your phone is network locked or not? Where did you get your phone from, a network carrier or a shop like Phones4U?
Also dial *#1234# and let us know what firmware details you have.
**SamKiesUpdates on twitter have not announced an update release for UK yet.......maybe you got a leak.
Edit: **According to Samfirmware/SamMobile H3G (Three Network) have released an update for/to 4.1.1 for UK S3 users. Sounds like you might be on the 3 Network madone
