    Sidetone

    Hello everyone,

I plan to purchase the Galaxy S2 but wanted to find out first if there's a way to make it have a sidetone., like many Motorola phones have. (The sidetone is a slight echo of your your voice during a conversation, like the old good land-line telephones). I recently borrowed the Galaxy S2 from a friend - to place a call- and noticed there's no sidetone (Yes, I'm an old school guy).

I did a search on "galaxy s2 sidetone" but all I get is this user complaining about hearing some echo after adjusting the sidetone (apparently after changing some hidden values). Can this be done without rooting the phone? Is there a way to successfully make the S2 have a nice sidetone? Is there anyone here who have done it?

    Thanks,
    Craconia

Quite bizarre, You're the first person who actually wants this.

I think you can either have echo/sidetone or not, there isn't an app which adds noise filters to your voice calls.

Why on earth would anybody want that? Everybody else wants rid of it if it happens, most peculiar.

How bizarre. I don't know of one person that wants or needs an echo when on a call. You can use noise cancellation when on a call by tapping on the menu key and select noise cancellation, but you wouldn't need to do that if you like the echo

I need sidetone as well. Please don't get it confused with 2 second delayed echo of your own voice it has to be just as instant as landline, I think it was perfectly simulated in earlier motorolla cell phones. I wish I could have it on my Galaxy S2 as well.
