Bluetooth car mode?

Just moved from Nokia N8 so sorry if this is a simple problem

I'm used to my nokia with its car mode, I got in the car and it worked simple, music sat nav, text messages and phone calls, ok it dropped the connection now and then but it work 90% of the time.

I've just got the S3 and I can't get the thing to work for a 5 minute trip, I've tried an app car home ultra that sounds like it will work but I can't make it work properly.

I have to connect manually all the time, when I'm connected and listening to music the calls come through the handset and I have to disconnect and reconnect to get it to come through the car, ok I'm an Andriod newbie but should it really be this hard?

Starting to wonder if the N8 was that bad afterall, isn't the S3 pretty much the best andriod phone available?

Please somebody help me, I think this phone is amazing but in the car its driving me crazy

Regarding playing through the car, do I take it that you are connecting to your car's bluetooth?
I've an S2 but have SVoice installed and use that or Voice Talk (you may not have that) when in Driving Mode.
To activate in SVoice you say 'Driving Mode on'.
To play music say 'Play music'

Think it's a matter of getting used to the new toy.

thanks yeah I'm sure I'll get used to it, with my N8 I didn't have to connect bluetooth, the phone was always on and connected automatically to the car when I started the engine, S voice seems to get confused too as I've just got out of the car and it won't respond to anything, maybe its got some early bugs to be ironed out.
