Screen goes very dark in Internet

    Hi,

When I go into "Internet" from the home screen my display goes very dark. As soon as i close it down or switch to another application it comes back to the brightness I have it set on.
Is there a hidden display brightness setting I cannot find?

    GN

You can individually set each brightness manually. open the page that's "dark" swipe up from the bottom, click settings then adjust the brightness manually. I found this problem in video playback too, set each individually.

On internet select left menu and click display and colours and set to default or choose brightness.
On Video keft menu and click settings and select brightness and choose your brightness.

Picking up an old thread as my first post here. I am having similar darkening when I go to my email. Not my Gmail app, but my non-Gmail app. And I can not find a brightness setting in that app, whick is the email app. Any thoughts?

    Thanks much.

Do you have 'Power Saving Mode' enabled?

If so go to Menu > Settings > Power Saving (tap on text not slider) > untick 'Screen Power Saving'

    See if this helps.

If you have power saving turned on untick the background colour option in its settings.

Thank you both, that was it. I misinterpreted the green icon for being 'off', rather than a grey icon. Thanks again.
