    Kies?

    Hi

I am having no end of trouble connecting my new SIII to my laptop.
I have downloaded and installed Kies as per Samsung instructions. But after connecting my phone all that happens is the "Found new hardware" notification is displayed every ten seconds or so?

Is this the only way to sync contacts and such with Outlook?

It's better to sync outlook with your Gmail account and that will then sync with your phone.

Have you tried rebooting the computer? Maybe leave the phone connected and see what happens after ten mins or so, assuming you haven't already done that.

Have you tried using Kies Air, or an app from the Play Store called Airdroid?

With Kies did your computer install the drivers when you first connected the phone to your computer via the USB?
If on Windows you could check in Device Manager, with your phone connected, that there are no errors.
