    micro sd card question

Hi I have a micro SD card and some albums on my pc. I want to put them on the card for my sister-in-law's galaxy SII phone.

Can I transfer the music onto the card with a card reader and then put the card in her phone or do I have to put the card into her phone first before transfering the music onto the card?

If I can transfer them without the card being in the phone, is there a set name of the folder I need to make on the card for the music to go in? Also does each album have to have a seperate folder or can all albums go in to 1 folder?

    Thanks

It depends on how organised you want to be.... If you put each album in its own folder with the cover art the phone will correctly attach the info in the music app. (There are other ways of doing this but require additional work). Otherwise just dump everything onto the SD card and let the phone sort it out (which it will do in its own way). No need for the card to be in any phone when you transfer the files as the phone will scan when you insert the card and turn it on. Just make sure it is formatted FAT32.

Hello, you can put the microsd in the PC and then transfer from the pc to the card directly.

If that doesn't work, put the SD card in the phone and then connect the phone using a USB Cable.

If you don't have a cable use Kies Air or a similar wireless app for trasnferring files.

I just create on folder called Music and then put all albums in the Music folder. I have each album in it's own folder.
