Parse Error

Hi everyone

I downloaded Flipboard from the authors own website and it is fantastic. However I have opened it up today and been informed that an update is available. So I clicked on UPDATE and the following Error Message appeared “Parse Error"

Can anyone suggest how I get around this and why it is caused.

I have experienced this error on other apps.

I am running on a Galaxy S2 unlocked on Orange running ICS 4.0.3

Make sure "Unknown Sources" is ticked in security settings.

Can you download the .apk update file and run it through file manager? Parse errors are usually due to the FW version being lower than that of the FW the app was designed for, which makes sense as Flipboard is an S3 app (4.0.4) and you are running on 4.0.3 FW. "ApKatcher" off Play may help if you can download the .apk file individually.

It's an installer app, hence why I asked if you can download the update file separately ?
