how do i copy and paste a status on facebook with my s2?

sorry if this has been asked before i am new to samsung and love my s2 but cannot copy and paste on facebook and end up having to use my laptop in order to copy and paste

I've never been able to. Might be possible if you view facebook in the browser rather than the app though. Not tried that myself.

Just tried to copy and paste an sms in Facebook comments and profile and both worked (although I didn't save) Also tried writing a message in the stock Memo application, and again copied and pasted ok but didn't send.
Where does the problem occur for you with copying and pasting?

Have you tried Friendcaster for Facebook?

When I said 'profile' I meant 'Status'.
In what would you like to say? box I pasted a copied sms and a message I wrote and copied in Memo.
Did it the usual way.... long press on sms/Memo message to get Copy option. Long press in 'What would you like to say' to get paste option.
Am I missing something here?

You can't copy from other people's Facebook like you can on the PC when they say " copy and paste this to your status "

Yes I have tried it and it wont work, always have to switch laptop on, very annoying.

Just tried it on the official Facebook - and you're right.
I also have Friendcaster, a Facebook 3rd party application, and you can copy and paste with no problem.
