hi guys i have an issue with voice talk opening when i press the home button. it doesnt happen all the time but it does most of the time. its starting to get very annoying. i am on ics and use go launcher ex. i have tried it without go launcher and it makes no difference. this all started a while ago when i upgraded to a 2.3.6 version and hasnt gone away with any subsequent versions. any ideas. thanx, dusty.
Voice Talk (Vlingo) does open with a double click of the home button.
Do you think that's what you are doing?
If a problem why not remove it or with Go Launcher redefine what pressing the home button does.
As far as i am aware i am only pressing it once. How do i re assign the home button. That might be the best option. Thanx for your reply.
Go launcher let's you assign another function to the home key
To look at what else the Home key can do go to:
Menu >Preferences>Gesture settings> Home key action.
I don't think this will override the double click into Voice talk - does a female voice say 'What would you like to do?'
Yes she does and she is very annoying.
Think it's very likely you are doing a double click, but if not, getting rid of it is going to need root or flash a custom firmware.
I know Wanam removes Samsung stock apps so you can install the apps you want.
Seems a lot of trouble, but happy to point you in that direction.
Easy solution for voice talk (command). Samsung Galaxy s2 (ICS)
Uninstall Voice talk (command) with a third party Uninstaller. If you still want to use Voice Talk, install voice talk again from samsung apps. open Voice talk by clicking twice on the home key, go into settings and check Double tap the home key, and start up again.
Then go in to Voice talk settings and remove the check mark that you put there. The function by pressing twice on the home key for voice talk is now gone.
