Nice one.. didn't know you could have separate Swype beta installation as well as the stock app. New beta is light years ahead of the stock app! So much faster, keyboard personalisation and sync dictionary with your email address. Defo recommend it beta.Swype.com to download.
I also have had this incredibly annoying problem, specifically with the letter 'k' now for over 3 months. I have been too lazy/busy/whatever to want to go through the motions of resetting my phone to fix it. As others have mentioned the problem spawned after an update for me as well so even if I reset my phone there is no guaranteeing I will not face the same deficiency later. My little work around for now is to click on the text box I am typing in and change the input method to Samsung Keypad. From there I can either use Samsung Keypad or switch it right back to Swype (essentially restarting the Swype service) and all is well until the next nth iteration of me typing 'k'. Pretty awesome really. I have a $400 phone I cannot type 'k' on. A patch, bug report or duct tape would be appreciated.
It's been over seven months since the last report of this problem was registered and I am dismayed to see that no solution has been provided so far. I have the same problem, the keyboard freezes either in Swype or regular typing mode. Sometimes a restart brings a working keyboard upon reentry, sometimes it does not.
