Email Sub-folders - Exchange

Hi,

I upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich on my Galaxy S2 yesterday and now I've lost visibility of my Exchange sub-folders within the default Email app. If I open up Email it defaults to my Inbox, but when I hit the menu key and select folders the only ones I can see are the main root folders, Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent, Deleted etc. I have a load of sub-folders underneath my Inbox that I need to be able to get to on my phone as I use it for work. This all worked fine on Gingerbread.

I've removed my Exchange account from the phone and re-added it, but this made no difference. Interestingly on re-adding the account and going into the folders section I saw all my sub-folders and then as the initial sync was occurring they were removed one by one until it left me with the same default folders as I mentioned above.

I've tried to Google this issue but haven't found anything yet.

Has anyone else come across this or have any suggestions?

I'm pretty stuck without access to the emails in these folders.

I use Google (gmail) and in order to see all my folders I had to go on line on my PC and change some settings. Can't remember exactly but there was a tickbox in my folder settings which was something like "show in imap".....

I have exactly the same problem after upgrading from Gingerbread to Ice cream sandwich. I can't see any subfolders any more. It worked fine with Gingerbread but now, only the root folders are visible.
I hope someone can help us.

Same problem with IMAP folders. Worked fine on Gingerbread.

I managed to get mine working with Exchange for a few days, but then they disappeared again. It was more by luck, but I was just creating folders on the phone and within Outlook and moving them around and all of a sudden all the sub-folders appeared on the phone. They stayed for a few days but then disappeared without me touching anything.

If I create a new folder from the Galaxy I see this within the root of my mailbox within Outlook, not as a sub-folder of the Inbox. This remains visible on the Galaxy too. If I then move this newly created folder to the Inbox (so as a sub-folder of the Inbox) using Outlook I see the phone update with all my proper sub-folders, but they slowly disappear one by one until I'm left with the standard Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items etc. Even the newly created folder disappears.

Weird. It's pretty crap though. I really need access to my sub-folders whilst I'm out of the office.

I updated to ice cream sandwich last night on my Galaxy S2, and can no longer see my Exchange email folders either. It worked perfectly on Gingerbread!

I deleted the mail account & added it again. This showed about 6 of my 50+ email folders for a few hours, but then they disappeared. So now I can't see any email folders again. It's very frustrating! Has anyone found a solution?

If it worked perfectly, the best solution is to return to Gingerbread.

I had the problem, it took me three hours to find the solution. You need to click on the SYMBOL in front of your Inbox and voila--you have all your subfolders.

That's correct, but you can only select subfolders of the inbox. In my case using an IMAP account, I can not see/select other folders I have subscribed in other clients. These folders were visible in Gingerbread version of the mail app.
