Restoring & swapping nandroid backups is it harmful

If I swap nandroid backups (different roms for different firmwares) every other week .. Will I cause any damage to the phone or is not good idea..??

I currently have Dark knight v3 ics 4.0.4 rom running.. As nandroid backups i have Jetpack xxjw1 rom & also nandroid backup sgsics rom..
So can i restore backups as when i want swap them around

Providing hou carry out a wipe each time there should be no problem.
The main question for me is where are
you storing these nandroids as they are memory intensive?

Do you mean factory reset, wipe cache & wipe dalvik cache only..??

(My sgs i9000 is 16gb, hence I have plenty room on internal sd card)

Regarding wipe, yes, but not entirely necessary unless you are moving from ICS to Gingerbread and back.
