    Photos wont transfer to laptop

Hi I have a problem now transfering my photos and video's to my laptop. The first time I tried it a few months ago it worked perfectly but now it dosn't . I have photos on my phone and I plug the phone into my laptop. The box comes up asking if i want to import photos into windows gallery. I click on it and it comes up with a problem with the file, WHY / Then sometimes it can't open the pictures and says photo gallery can't open this photo the file maybe unsupported, damaged or corrupted. Can anyone help me please as i need the photos on my laptop, Thank you !

I would not import the photos as it may involve compressing the file or altering it in some way.

Just put the phone in USB mode (or may need to tick USB Debugging), connect to the PC and drag and drop the files like you would any other file format.

I'm on an S2 ICS so may get some of this wrong.
Memory not what it was - come go think of it....... LOL
When you plug phone into computer with usb, you will here a sound and get a usb symbol at top of screen.
Drag down notification screen and you will see a usb connected box.
Touch box and you'll get the greenman and dialogue box.
Touch box and on computer you'll be asked how you want to open the file.
I usually choose all files, and this should give you the files on your phone.
Photo's are usually stored in DCIM.

Now Open the Pictures file on your computer.
Minimise both windows so they are on screen and you should now be able to drag and drop the files.

A very good wireless method is to download an application from Market (Google Play) called Airdroid.
