    Battery empty very fast

My Battery seems to be empty very fast... it was fully loaded over night and today it was turned on for about ~10h without using it 6 hours at all and now it says that it's empty again... has anyone got also problems with the battery?

My galaxy s has a branded firmware on it could that also cause this problem?

I am using daily briefing but I haven't actualised it for two days... this morning I turned it on and did only two phone calls and I wrote a few text messages. now the battery is at 70%. Is it normal that it uses ~30% with doing this things?

actually something else i just thought of, when you exit an app or browser, you need to go thru menu>exit/close . if you just press the home button, the internet connection will remain active. i didnt realize that at first with my G1, and my battery would always die by mid afternoon

ok, i will download the app and i'm going to test it tomorrow... that with the browser could also be the problem because i used it on these days. most apps seem to be closed when i exit them with the back button (or however it is called), but i can only get out from the browser with the home button and like you said i bet that the internet connection was still active...

the last 2 hours in standby mode it only used 1%!

How do you do this. I have looked in the menu for the built in browser and there is no exit/close option that I can see. The only way I an get rid of the browser is to press the home button.

well i dont actually have the phone yet, so i cant check what the default settings are, but i did have a G1 for a while, and can suggest APNdroid , its a nice little app you can download from the market, clicking it turns internet access on and off, so while its off, nothing will connect to the internet. try leaving this on for an afternoon, see if the battery life improves. if it does, then you know that your battery problem is caused by something keeping an internet connection.

Could be the branded firmware you have on it causing issues.

Definitely sounds a bit iffy for it to be running down so quickly, I haven't had to charge mine yet (Got it Monday), but i would consider myself a light user, have been on Wifi for a while though, not a huge amount of calls, maybe 30 mins - nobody calls me :-( installed alot of apps etc. I have screen brightness set to its lowest, network set to 2g, i put it up to 3g if i want to browse for a while in an area with no wifi, havent watched any films on it yet. So far so good on the battery front for me. My Firmware if JF3, unbranded as far as i can tell.
