    Question Auto/wireless two-way Outlook sync

    Hi guys!

Totally new to the Android experience, had my SGS2 delivered this morning which I plan to use instead of my business Blackberry.

For client data I run a CRM. This is then exported manually to CSV and uploaded into Outlook. (the CRM provider is working on an auto-sync for Outlook but that's another matter).

Anyway, at present I then sync Outlook contacts with my Blackberry manually via USB. However, now I'm switching to the S2 I'm hoping this can all be done automatically, two-way and obviously wirelessly...can it?

I'd then like to take it a step further and have my Outlook calendar and tasks sync on exactly the same basis i.e. auto, two-way & wirelessly...can this be done?

If either/both are possible can someone point me in the right direction please. I've been told to look at Office365 but feel it's a tad OTT for my needs. However, I've got no issue paying for the right app/service if it can all be done.

Btw, I am not techy in the slightest so be warned!!!

    Thanks in advance....

Your Gmail account can be synced to your phone over wifi along with contacts, calender, Picassa etc. so no reason why your chosen programme shouldn't.
Take a look in Menu > Settings > Accounts & sync - where you can add an account.

Please forgive my blatant ignorance but does that mean it all has to be done via a gmail address or can I somehow use the one linked to my own domain?

If have a Gmail and Hotmail account syncing on my phone - as well as Facebook, so your own should be fine.
Have you checked in Accounts & sync as it may be in there already.

Sorry, are we getting confused between me wanting to sync my Outlook contacts/calendar/tasks and not the actual email itself?

It's a steep learning curve, but like anything else the effort taken to learn is rewarded by having a tool you can actually use to its full extent.
Otherwise you may as well just have a bog standard phone.

    It most certainly is!

Just so anybody who might be having the same issue knows, I ended up going down the Google Apps route:

Create Google Apps account (paid version)
Download free Outlook plug-in to sync Outlook email, calendar, contacts & tasks with Google Apps (which then subsequently syncs with phone - apart from tasks...)
Download GTasks to sync tasks from Google Apps to phone

There are also many paid services that can do it all for you. I did have a link to them all but not with me, will update later if I remember!

I now have a different Q (!?!?) but will start a fresh thread....
