    Cool Ice cream sandwich issues

Hi i'm new to this forum and hope somebody can give me some advice.
I recently upgraded my Galaxy S2 which is on the o2 network in the UK to Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The upgrade went without a hitch via Samsung Kies and i have many of the new features including Face Unlock and the new keyboard etc. The problem is my phone looks exactly the same as before the upgrade. I have no shiny new homescreens or any new icons which is disappointing.
Has this issue been noticed by anybody else on here or am i a one off? Could i have done something wrong or am i supposed to use a launcher to get the new appearance.
If its a download issue is there any way i can retry bearing in mind that my phone is not rooted.
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

It is disappointing when you first open the downloaded ICS as it looks the same. That's because the launcher is TouchWizz as in Gingerbread. Have a look at this site for what ICS brings:

ICS does allow you to download the Nova launcher which I think is the best available and gives your S2 a new look. Also try Google Chrome Beta for your browser. Both need a little time to get used to, but I reckon worth the effort.

Go to sammobile.com, find the version of GB you want, and use odin to flash it. Before you flash it, make sure you do a wipe data/factory reset and wipe dalvik cache, all from recovery mode. When you have re-flashed to GB do another wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache.
