    help? notification bar

    my notification bar has stopped swipping down - can anyone help? It's still working fine just not swipping??

    What where you doing to the phone for it to stop working?

    Have you tried turning the phone off and on again?

    If you haven't downloaded a new firmware, a reset will probably help. Switch off and remove battery for 10 minutes to allow any residual memory to leak. Replace battery and restart. If still not working, you'll have to consider a factory reset. You can do this in Settings or from Recovery.

    Not sure what I was doing just noticed it wouldn't swipe. Tried a reset, not working. Reluctant to factory rest as I assume you lose everything?? This phone is a nightmare!

    It's a good idea to back up before factory reset. You can send many things to your external sd card as that won't be affected, and you won't lose contacts, but if worried copy them to your sim card. In Recovery you can do a back up.
    Have done it loads of times and not as bad as you think, but check on this site's for info.
