    It looks like the galaxy s will be getting 2.3.6 soon

    Just been browsing sammobile and came across an article claiming samsung will be releasing 2.3.6 (with value pack) for the galaxy s possibly at the end of march.

    updated my s to 2.3.6.biggest change is the icons have changed to the same as s2

    Just updated mine hate it how do I go back to previous version please lock screen is rubbish and lost jigsaw notifications screen which I loved now got this cheap looking red stop type sign for them complete cock up of a upgrade if you ask me looks cheap and nasty, im in uk
    Thanks desperate to go back to my previous fw why the hell kies does not let you restore back in just rubbish

    If it's just because of the lockscreen, you may be able to choose a different one through the settings/display menu.

    If you want to flash firmware again I would suggest JVU released 29/12/11.

    Hey Phooey, there is no way of knowing which firmware you (yourself) were previously on but the last open europe firmware was I9000XWJVU but this was not available via Kies.

    If you want firmware that is available via Kies and is non-branded then I9000XXJVT (UK CPW) should be the one, although CPW is CarPhoneWarehouse it should not be network branded.
