Dunno but you don't need an app to tether. You can do it via settings, wireless and networks, tethering and portable hotspots.

Go into the settings menu like I said in my first reply, scroll down to wireless and networks, then scroll to tethering and portable hotspot. Select that. There will be an option to configure the hotspot, select that. Then select wpa instead of open and you can then change the password to your own. Once you've done this, tick turn on portable hotspot.

Then, get to the device you want to use the hotspot for, go to the available networks and select the android one. It will then ask for a password. Type in the password and it should connect.

I'm assuming your firmware is still gingerbread and not ics. If it's ics, the menu to get to the tethering is a bit different but it's easy enough to find. Same thing though, beneath the wifi on and off etc, it says more. Just select that and go from there.

Hope that helps and is clear enough. Giving instructions isn't my strongest point so hope I haven't confused you more.

Great tips. Any idea, long shot I know, if this would enable me to connect with my COMAND online in my Merc? Been battering away for days and getting nowhere. Sorry, it is a long shot, I know.

Well, my research has led me to the knowledge that the SG2 is not compatible with the new Mercedes COMANDonline function and neither are many of the new smart phones including iPhones. meh. Can't say Internet in the car is essential anyway.
