Actually, my work PC updated kies a day or so after I'd posted and did link. By then I was already on the Polish ICS.

I must say I am having a few stability problems with ICS. Program crashes were pretty rare before but I seem to be having to soft reset on a daily basis now. Still, I'll persevere just for the new Chrome browser.

The other problem I'm having is battery usage. in particular my GPS apps seem to be lasting only two thirds as long as previously - and they were never very good anyway
When you flashed ICS did you factory reset + clear cache + clear dalvik cache?
Would recommend for anyone coming from Gingerbread.
Must say I have none of your problems. Except battery life on GPS but use a charger when in car.

Yes, I did the full clearance.

That's not so easy when you're playing golf, the greenkeepers tend to get a bit upset about cars driving around their courses

What I haven't done (and what was the reason I originally rooted) has been to freeze all the Samsung bloatware. That's my next job.

Updated to ICS Resurrection Remix Pro Edition today. Works brilliantly. Guess I won't be waiting for the official firmware.
