Dead phone, recover pictures from internal memory?

    Hi folks,

my phone got smashed, it fell out of a pocket and then a chair leg was set on it and I sat on the chair, crushed the phone near the top and now it won't power on.

Phone is insured but I was wondering if there is any chance I can recover the pictures and videos from the internal memory?

    Thanks

If the phone does not power up then its doubtful that you could recover any pictures....unless they are on the External SD Card, then you could just pull it out

    For future reference:

Camera Photos - Sign up with Dropbox, they give you 2Gb of online storage and their updated Android app allows for instant uploads when taking photos. Uploaded to storage not to a webpage for viewing.

Media - I generally store all media on my external sd card as a rule. I leave the internal USB storage for apps and downloading.

immediately stop taking new pictures or videos with your Samsung Galaxy phone, because the more you write data, the less likely you’ll be able to retrieve the lost files.
Actually, your pictures are stored on the memory card of your Android phone. And there are some memory card recovery software available to recover pictures and videos from internal memory I used it and it worked!
