Need help with firmwar roleback

i flashed my s2 to new ics. but the battery life gone so bad , i am thinking og flashing back to my previous gingerbread and wait for real offical update!
my line orange(uk) but when i bought it at (phones4u) they tod me its unlocked.
anyway i was wondering which version should roll back to in order to be able to get the offical ics update through kies when it comes out?
orange (uk) 2.3.5 gingerbread or open europe 2.3.5/6 ????
any one knowes?

You can check to see if it's unlocked by typing this into the dial pad *#7465625# if the top one says network lock OFF, it's unlocked. If you got the phone from phones4u then I doubt it is a branded phone.

The latest official samsung firmware is is 2.3.4 and can be found here: http://skywanker.net/roms/intratech/..._I9100XXKI1.7z 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 are leaked firmwares.

i just tried the first link for firmware you put but it wasnt workin ,. tried to find it on sammobile but couldnt but they have other 2.3.4 open europe there. i checked the mobile and it was unlocked )
so the open europe there should work, but which is offical it dosent say there!

They have an orange Kies icon next to each firmware, this is the best indication that the firmware is 'official'.

just tried it again and it worked(link) CHEERS!and fast download 800kb
will flash it afterwards.
no news on offical ics update yet! except 3 is out but the unlocked mobile still not getting it trough kies it seems! i just tried my other s2(not really mine, got it for my G, instead of i-phone )) and nothing yet!

try to open the file using winrar and there seems to be something wrong as it cant extract iT!
have to try to find it somewhere else

was able to unrar it on my other laptop! foor some reason it wont do on my desktop.
