    Kies problem

I am using Samsung Galaxy S2 and use Kies for all my work. I have recently updated the Kies with 2.2.0.12014_18.
Every time I open kies it comes with this Message: "There are new components for Samsung Kies. Some of the components of Samsung Kies need to be updated for firmware management. Do you want to update now?"
When I click "OK" it closes and never opens again. Then when you open it, the same old stories all the time.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled and tried all but failed to set right the problem.
Can anyone has answer for this problem?

You could try MyPhoneExplorer which has the same functions as Kies albeit the update firmware function

I had a similar problem, I think it was because my phone was pluged in when I opened Kies (although i'm not sure why that would make a differance, or it could have been the other way round try both pluged and unpluged). After a reinstal and changing the pluged unpleged status it seamed to work.
If you dont need the firmware update bit you could always use the Kies air app
    Cheers
    Jason

Well Kies won't work with a Sony Ericsson?

What phone are you having trouble with?

    Thanks friends.
    I am using Samsung Galaxy S2 - GT I9100.
To-day I have formatted my computer and installed Windows7 SP1 in the place of XP SP3. And again I installed Kies and now it works fine.
Like earlier, it asked for update and when I clicked OK, it installed the updates and also updated my phone firmware. I think there was some problem with XP.
