How do I get rid of the "downward" grey arrows on my home screen?

    I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT-19001.

While away from home recently (i.e.outwith the normal transmission area) I thought I would find out if I could listen to my local radio station on my phone. Having found the website, I tried clicking on the "listen now" button. At first it didn't work, so I tried twice more, without success. Now I find that I have three (underlined) downward pointing grey arrows stuck in the top left hand corner of my home screen.

    Can anyone tell me please:

    1) How to get rid of the grey arrows.
    and
    2) Should I be able to listen to distant radio stations using my phone (and, if so, what is the correct way to do this?)

    Thank you.

No idea about listening to radio but have you pulled the notification bar down and selected clear to get rid of the arrows?

Sorry, I didn't know that was possible. I've just tried it and it worked.

    Thanks for your help!

Try an app like TuneIn Radio.

Those little arrows usually mean something is being downloaded, ie: Apps being updated.
    Arch Linux, with Enlightenment 17
SGS TripleEye (White) Firmware: Cyanogenmod 10 (JB 4.2.2) - Rooted
