    Play shop crash on SGSII

I recently successfully 'upgraded' from the Android Market app to Google Play Shop on my SGS2. Everything was working fine until this morning. Now the Google Play Shop app keeps crashing. The error message is com.android.vending has stopped unexpectedly. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it? Do I need to rebuild the phone?

If you go into settings, applications, manage applications, all, scroll down til you come to google play shop, select that and you get the option to uninstall the update.

BEFORE you do that though, make sure you can still access the market because market disappeared from my phone as soon as I updated to the play shop.

Perhaps wait until somebody else replies too as I'm not sure how you would get around it if market is no longer on your phone.

Go to >menu>settings>applications>manage applications>scroll down to google play, select it and then clear the cache.

Thanks guys for your help. I did clear the cache as suggested however it made no difference! I do remember having to do the same thing now when updating Polaris Office (great app). Based on your suggestion what I did also do was to uninstall Google Play from the Manage Applications screen and let Google reinstall it again. Hey presto it works again fine now. Your help is appreciated.
