Is there a way to make the O/S Canadian friendly?

I have Gingerbread UGKG2, which I bought in Canada, and it's very frustrating that the contact list will only give the options STATE and ZIP CODE. Would it be that difficult to give us our PROVINCE and POSTAL CODE? I've searched and searched and can't find a way to change it.

    Weird yes, helpful no.

dial *#1234# and see if that displays your firmware versions (sometimes works and sometimes doesn't). If it doesn't work then go to Menu > Settings > About Phone and tell us what Baseband version you are on.

If you provide that information then it could help the OP choose new firmware to flash, or others if they wish to.

Think I know who you are talking about.
I could be wrong, I usually am. (Because it's only a phone)

How about UK friendly too. I'm of the belief its because Google is own and made by Yankees. Instead of state and zip, I would like County and Postcode instead. This makes more scents

It doesn't matter what it's called. You just put a postcode in where it says Zip, The words 'Zip Code' don't remain in the address. It does have 'Country' in the address section........A rose by any other name!!??

They could allow you to rename the fields how you want or let you choose from a drop down menu but lets face it, that might just be too easy!

Still we could just accept things for how they are.

What would be the point in renaming them, when the name disappears as soon as you type anything in it......Just type Post code first, if you want it to stay there!
