Thumbs down Emails stopped updating and no notifications

    Hi All,

Ive had no problems with my sgs2 since getting it apart from battery life being very poor and only lasting a day at work, so a friend told me to turn on the power saving, i cudnt get along with that as i like my phone bright and fast...so i turned it off.

Since doing this my emails no longer update unless i click refresh in the gmail app? im no longer getting notifications for new emails and i cant find any setting to stop this?

    Help me lol!

The problem you had was that background data & auto sync were both ticked before.

Menu > Settings > Accounts & Sync then tick Auto Sync - This will get back your e-mail updates and is also the cause of a lot of battery drain.

For some guides on battery saving check the following link - Tip & Guides
