    If you upgrade through Keis the apps will stay unless you do a factory reset. Its only if you flash in other ways that force you to do a factory reset that you'll loose the apps. Keis will also auto reinstall contacts, settings etc from the most recent back up you made so a good idea is to back up fully before you upgrade the firmware. Sorry, don't know about your apps and SD card as I have never done this but as long as you log into Market with the same id then you can go to "your apps" and the list of everything you have previously downloaded will be shown. It will also show what is currently installed on the phone so you download from there without having to remember what you had......

    I just ordered an unlocked Galaxy SII from Amazon. I want to use this as just a Wi-Fi Android device, would i be able to do this with access to all android features (marketplace apps). Or do i need a sim card just to use the phone? You must have experience. Thanks!

    It will work fine on wifi only (assuming you have a wifi connection). Samsung actually sell a wifi only version for just this purpose.
