    Is that what kies is offering as a update?
    PDA and Phone are the same as mine and mine is on 2.3.4, the CSC is different because of the different country's.

    i have this too. just got mine today and it has been shipped with 2.3.4

    Kies says that it is up to date, settings>about>update says that it is up to date but wikipedia says this:

    Android operating system
    The Galaxy S II ships with Android's 2.3 (Gingerbread) installed.[4]
    Samsung Galaxy S II US variants begun shipments with the slightly updated Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) installed.[47][48] The Android 2.3.6 firmware update from Samsung was made globally available from Dec 12 2011.[49]
    In December 2011, Samsung confirmed that it would offer a firmware update to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) within the first quarter of 2012.

    so, either that means that samsung is screwing us yet again... i8910 all over again... or there is an error in Kies.

    i really dont feel like rooting my brand new phone and doing a flash job on it... i just want it to update. is that too much to ask?
