    Unhappy GPS Issue

    Hello,
So the GPS on my SGS2 is giving me headaches (I actually got lost in Montreal - don't know why I relied on it in the first place). It does not lock down my location on the map. NEVER anymore.

I installed the GPS test app and here's what I found; it catches satellites fairly quickly and between 5-11 but won't use A SINGLE ON OF THEM. WHY?! Is their a fix to this?

Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

Edit: Have already tried battery pull + factory reset.

If this is the first time you have tried the GPS, the first lock can take some time. Are you using the GPS with google maps/navigation, You could try NavFree from the market and see if that improves the problem. Also try GPS Aids from the market.

I had the problem with Google Maps being WAY off on my location (across an interstate, over a good 12 blocks in the wrong direction.... WAY OFF!). But when I cleared the data cache for Google Maps, it now reports very accurate locations.

My GPS "lock" does take a bit to lock in, but generally I have found cell phone GPS's always take a while to lock in.
