    Question about 2.3.6 Value pack

Sorry if this has been asked but I cant find the answer on here.
Just wondering as the phone doesnt need to be rooted to install this via odin would it still void the Warranty. Really want to give it a whirl but have a year left on in warranty and knowing my luck Id probably have to use it.

    Thanks

Using anything other than the official software can void you warranty. It comes down to who you need to claim from.

I've sent off some other phones with Custom firmware on that kept restarting (Hardware fault) which got fix with no problems.

What it comes down to is A) How much you want to update. B) Will they know if kies been used to update it or not. C) Do you have a problem with the phone that maybe required to be sent off.

Thanks think I'll stick to 2.3.5 and hope they change thier mind and release 2.3.6 via kies

can you go back to 2.3.5 without samsung knowing youve used the 2.3.6 allowing you to claim on warranty or is this against forum rules

I did exactly this. I had a screen die on me, re-flashed stock firmware, sent it away, came back a week or so later all shiny new screen, same stock firmware, no questions....! Go for it!
