How to - turn track on CD into a ringtone

Help please. Got my favourite song on CD and want it as a ringtone. Have been able to do it on other phones but cant see how to do it here??

As a starter for ten, give it a Genre of "Ringtone" using a MP3 tag editor. I'm not sure whether you then need to place it a specific folder e.g. sdcard/media/audio/ringtones (create if not there) but give that a go first. The MediaScanner may then pick it up on next boot. There are also apps in the Market to automate all this malarkey.

in the music list, click and hold on a song until options pop up, "use as ringtone".

Or.. whille playing the track, press menu/ set as and choose ringtone.

but first, you have to put the song on your phone. rip your cd to mp3 format. then copy the track(s) to your phone music folder.
