    Emails

Hi, I have had my galaxy s2 for a couple of months now and no problems up until last week!

I was receiving emails no problem whereever I was, Uk and/or abroad. However whilst in Holland I received notice that i had reached my data limit which was fine as I didnt need it. When i got home I noticed no 3g symbol on the phone and also no emails coming through unless I was on wi-fi.

Now today no emails coming on phone despite receiving emails on my outlook.

Am I over-looking somethign or has something gone wrong or am i just thick??

Looking for assistance please, thanks, John

Hello Oldmanmille. Usually problems with the data connection are down to APN settings, just as a network carrier can send a text to setup your APN settings they may have blocked your data usage.

First thing to do would be to check to see if you have an Internet APN setting in:
Menu > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.

Apologies for asking but when you long-press the Power button does it say Data Network Mode is activated?

Also, I assume when abroad you used same SIM but had roaming enabled? Or did you get a 30-day SIM there (as I would've done). One final question - have you seen my glasses?

    Hi, thanks for responses...

APN settings - checked and activated

Data Network Mode - checked and activated

When abroad I just have it as roaming and get charged accordingly

I guess my next call is to BT....
