    Feelin a little spikes

Hello!I Bought SGSII a week ago, and i havent gotten any problems since now ( I might still not have, but not sure ). I went in menu to check something a few minutes ago and its like I felt some little spikes that I havent felt or noticed before. So, if there are any, what might be the cause of them? I uploaded on my phone a couple of flac songs from a trusted site ( they are scanned for viruses with Kaspersky AV ) and a bunch of pictures that i scanned too with antivirus and nothin'. I have installed some applications from the market and Samsung Apps, and I only installed 1 application that I didnt download by my phone, it came from the pc. I deleted it, and I deleted it's installation but I feel like those little spikes are still here. You'd probably think I'm paranoic, and you might be right, but the phone is new and i didnt have anything as near expansive as this phone, and I dont want something to get wrong. It is fast and it shouldn't have any spikes if you ask me, but I dont know much about phones. So if some of u guys can give me some advice what to do, I'd be greatful. As a factor Ill mention that my battery life is really low right now, I mean this might cause the troubles. Dont mention downloading applications from IT and upload them on my phone, its a mistake I wont make again.Excuse me for my bad english, its not my native language.Thanx to everybody who respond to this, Ill be waiting.

P.S. I'm really sorry i posted the thread here, i didnt notice that there are separate forums for each model

You are being a little over cautious but not with the music. You can download apps (not from the market) and install them, that's fine.

With regards to music problem there's a possibility that it could be the low battery but more than likely the music player will just stop working rather than glitching. Try taking the battery out for 10 mins and place back and turn on.

You could try using a different media player like Winamp or PowerAmp.

If you are still having troubles with music playback then a factory reset may help, but this will mean that you lose apps, contacts and accounts so backup.

I think u misunderstood me.I'm not havin problems with the player ( tho I was thinkin to download winamp today but it didnt make any sense ) I told u those things, cuz there might be a virus in some of them, but as i said i scanned them, the only thing I didnt scan was the Emulator needed to play Tekken 3 ( I didnt find Tekken 3 free anyway, so i deleted it ). I feel the spikes once i click on the Applications menu. And i was thinkin something, if anybody could explane it.When i bough the phone they told me that it has 16 gb memory. As i see it there are 11,50 USB gb memory and separately 2gb for the phone, where are the others? Operation system?

You need to explain what you mean by "felt spikes". Do you mean that the phone is lagging?

If you mean your phone is not moving smoothly when, say, moving from one app screen to another then it may be a few things...

Are you using the latest firmware? Update via Samsung Kies if possible - bear in mind it is best to hard reset to factory settings after doing this for best results so back things up. Use an app such as Titanium Backup to backup to your external SD card (so change backup location in preferences). Newer firmware may improve performance and battery life.

Also, many apps spawn processes when certain events trigger them and these are often background processes. Look under Settings, Applications, Running Services for services running. Advanced users will often root their phone (giving it admin rights) so that they can control these services via an app such as Gemini App Manager. If you don't want to go that far, it is always worth just rebooting your phone occasionally to clear things down - I ask Titanium Backup to reboot my phone each night after my daily backups of my apps, data and settings.

The biggest eater of the battery is the display - try lower brightness if OK.

I know that brightness eats ur battery, but i like it more when its lighter. About the rest of the things - I want to ask - if i have some virus in my phone could it make it work slower. My android version is 2.3.4. , i havent changed my firmware because if i do and something happens to my phone, the warranty goes of for changing it and i will have to pay for that broken part or whatever. Today I also felt a little bit of a delay while choosing contacts from my list. If I reset my phone options ( i mean that option that wipes away all of my files from my phone ) will it fix it? The one thing i noticed when i uploaded my files is that while uploading pictures ( that i dont have on my phone right now ) the coppyin' mirror crashed two times and not all of them were uploaded. That was the thing that made me suspicious about viruses, but my antivirus program didnt find anything so i chilled, until i noticed those changes on my phone.
And I want to ask - if I change my firmware to a newer version and something happens to my phone ( but it still is capable to turn on ) and install a previous version, will they notice? And if the phone cannot be turned on - what do i do ? .

Yes they will notice as there is a binary counter which records how many firmwares have been flashed to the phone. Are you able to update via kies? Updating via Kies is the official way to update firmwware and will not effect any insurance claims or warranty.

Well i have never opened this application before, and I just did. As i saw i need an Wi-Fi internet ( that I dont have ) or a usb, right? I have usb and if it is able, I can update it this way, but if it only works with Wi-Fi I wont be able to.

I think i can handle a flash, and I know that this phone cant maximize it's options without flashing or changing firmwares. My last phone was SE K750I pretty dumb phone if you dont play with it enough. In the end it was makin a better pictures, his battery lasted longer, the sound was louder and many many things, and I suppose that this phone has the same story. But if i Flash it I lose my warranty, and its an high-tech technology, I'm sure that something will went wrong, and then i'll have to pay money that i dont have to people to fix it.

I think that you might be referring to Kies Air, from my understanding you need Samsung Kies installed on a Desktop PC and then using the USB cable connect the device to the PC.

The other alternative for updating your phone's firmware is on the device go to Menu > Settings > About Phone > Software Update, you may neeed to create an account.
