    disable or remove social hub.

i want to remove my email accounts from the social hub.

in fact, i'm quite keen on deleting the whole thing as it doesn't seem to work very well for me.

how can i stop the social hub from grabbing my emails?

i want to remove my gmail account from it but i get a warning message saying it will delete all contacts etc from the device.

    HELP?

In order to remove the app all together you will need to 'root' the phone.

I don't use social hub but does it not list all the e-mail accounts somewhere in the app? If so long press the e-mail account and delete. If your still stuck maybe try Menu > Settings > Accounts & Sync > There you can see a list of e-mail accounts that are synced with the phone.

Someone with an SGS2 may have more precise instructions.

yes, but i still get a warning message saying it will delete all contacts etc from the device.

it's not clear if that will delete the account completely 'from the device' or just from the social hub...

Good point. If you want to organise your contacts you can export all your contacts as a .vcf file then import (using a PC) the .vcf file to your googlemail/gmail. you can then see all your contacts and delete/amend the contacts. Once organised then sync the contacts from the Accounts & Sync menu on your phone.

Once you've backed your contacts up you can then delete any e-mail account you want.

You will not be able to remove the main googlemail/gmail account that is linked to your phone on setup.
