How to backup my SGS2 with a broken screen

    Hello ladies and gentlemen

My screen on my SGS2 is shattered. Before I have it fixed, I'd like to backup everything via Kies (I haven't backed up in a while before my phone fell). My phone goes on when switched on, the soft buttons light up like usual - I'm taking this as signs of normal functioning. But I simply cannot seem to get my phone to talk to Kies via USB connection through my PC. Also, am I right in assuming that the 'touch' on the screen wont work if its cracked?

Is there any way I can backup my phone before I send it in to be repaired?

    Much thanks
    yoobsta

Depends on what you want to back up. You can connect it in mass storage mode and then just drag and drop from the phone to PC, things like music, video ect. Your contacts are a different thing, unless you have them synced with your google account.
