Having issues with Kies 2.0

Hello, I'm a noob and I have a couple questions. I am new to android (had an Iphone before), I cannot connect to kies with my usb cable. I can connect fine with Kies air but for some reason the cable method doesn't work. At first it was recognizing my device, but now when I connect it says "this device is not supported by Kies 2.0". I have the usb debugging checked to off so i'm not sure why it won't recognize my phone. Btw I have the AT&T s2 Skyrocket. I'd be fine just connecting with Kies air but for some reason it won't allow me to upload digital movie copies to my phone, so I was trying to use Kies 2.0 for that. Any help would be appreciated.

If you're having troubles with Samsung Kies then MyPhoneExplorer is another program you could try.

If you just want to transfer videos then just conenct the device straight to the PC, avoid using Kies or syncing programs for transferring media.
