Assigning custom tones to messages?

Hi.

I can assign any song i want as a ringtone by browsing My Files and finding an MP3. However i can't assign any of these sound files to the Message Alert tone.

Any way to fix this?

Use Zedge from the android market, it's a very handy app. There are other ways of using custom tones as message alerts, I've written a thread for such occasions - Media Support Thread
