    newbie firmware update

Hi all, i have a galaxy sII which i bought second hand and it wont update firmware of 2.3.3 to anything else either ota or through kies ( it says its not able to ) so im assuming my phone has been either unlocked or debranded. there is no o2 logo upon turning phone on etc . what i basically need is a step by step guide to update to latest firmware and ideally a direct link to files needed. i have been reading up on odin through xda but i dont understand what file i need specifically for me .
below is all the info available on my phone .

    if i dial *#1234# i get : pda:I9100xwke1 phone: I9100xxke4 csc: I9100xeukd1
    under settings : android 2.3.3 , baseband version I9100xxke4 kernal version 2.6.35.7-I9100xwke1-cl181974 root@dell103#2
    build number : gingerbread.xwke1

i have downloaded odin ( and a root app from market which says im not rooted ) all i need is an up to date file and someone with the patience to tell me what to do . i have the step by step odin guide ,just dont want to pick the wrong file to use with it .

anyway many thanks if you can help or suggest alternative .

hi thanks for the pointer, i had searched around but missed that one, the only bit i didnt do was the code bit at the end and change the csc ,but my csc code already says xeu when i do the *#272 thing. im confused as to whether i will have to do this when for instance the next ice cream comes out , or can i use kies now?

You only need to change the csc if you need your csc changing. Use Kies, if you get the message that you are on the latest firmware then you should be able to upgrade via Keis, if you get something about device not being recognised then I don't think you can.

I don't upgrade via Kies so am not 100% sure.
