I can do all the stuff on that thread, which I can sum up as: don't use your phone and the battery will last.

But when comparing to an iphone, there is no comparison when it comes to battery life. I used the iphone for all the same things and the battery lasted all day. Face it, to make it so slim they compromised battery life and IMHO it was a mistake.

    The slight difference would be:

    1) All iPhones run the same firmware no matter who your provider is or where in the world you are.

    2) Android firmware is different depending on which phone you have, which country you are in and which provider you are with. This means that there are lots of variations with different usage.

This is why there are threads to help people.

Like most things Android - as far as I can tell - positioning works fine when it feels like it. SOmetimes you will get a very accurate position instantly and sometomes it will take 10 minutes to resolve where you are on a legible map, even over a braodband or H+ data connection.

Regarding the battery. On a good day with that sort of usage, you should just about squeeze 10 hours out of it.

    Couple of other issues:
    - Bear in mind that you cannot accept .vcf business cards and add them to your address book without a very complicated workaround. In most SMS apps it's impossible

    - Continuing widespread email issues mean that forwarding or replying to an email is another thing that is extremely hit and miss. If the little green man's in a good mood, he might let you, but he quite possibly just keep hold of your message

Regarding music - I think there is an app that lets you import your itunes library, (and there's certaonly a thread on it here) but due to the battery life I rarely dare use mine as a music player and have had to resurrect my ipod if I want to listen to music while out and have some hope of making calls later.

I very much like my SGS2, but am not sure if I'd go down this route again. Maps, SMS, Music and email are reasonably important uses of a smartphone IMO.

I think Kies PC suite can copy your Itunes playlists, havn't really tried it but i've seen the option there.

You should first download the Kies software and you will really love the SGS2, However, the Battery life is killing me here i'm trying to find a way to extend it for at least one day without plugging it to a charger
