So for those of you who keep asking why your provider haven't released the latest version of Android, there's an article at GSMA which mentions what's invlolved when a Mobile manufacturer releases a firmware, let alone your network provider.
Take into account that once Sony or Samsung have approved software then they have to pass it on to each network provider to add their software and test compatibility.
