I have a Samsung Galaxy SII LTE with Rogers. I used a Fido SIM from my wife's pay-as-you-go phone to go through the unlocking process, just like raymonko did, and I had the same experience with the "personalizatiob" menu and not seeing the word [off] below each value. However, the Fido card worked after I went through the unlocking process. I was able to make calls with it and the phone showed as having the Fido phone number.
However, when I switched back to the Rogers sim, I had issues with my data plan not working. Every time I tried entering that *#7465625# code, my data plan would quit working until I restarted the phone. When I stopped trying the code, my phone worked normally on Rogers. I'm hoping that it will still work if I switch over to a prepaid SIM card again - I need it unlocked when I go overseas.
