Hi all, I have a Galaxy S with MIUI installed and very happy with this ROM, thanks to all who have had any input with development. I now have it set up with a speed of 1.3.
My question is this - How much data can this handset down load in each minute.
My reason for asking is that I have recently had a bill for overusing my data allowance of 500mb. I don't use mobile web very much and during the period billed I have only downloaded Google Maps and only used this on one occasion. The Data Roaming switch was not enabled at all.
My own fault you might say but.... when I check the bill it shows typically entry's like this:
29/11/2011 14:29 MOBILE WEB 1000 GPRS £0.59 £0.59
29/11/2011 14:29 MOBILE WEB 501 GPRS £0.30 £0.30
29/11/2011 14:29 MOBILE WEB 1001 GPRS £0.59 £0.59
29/11/2011 14:29 MOBILE WEB 1000 GPRS £0.59 £0.59
29/11/2011 14:29 MOBILE WEB 501 GPRS £0.30 £0.30
29/11/2011 14:29 MOBILE WEB 1000 GPRS £0.59 £0.59
29/11/2011 14:29 MOBILE WEB 501 GPRS £0.30 £0.30
In the case above my undestanding is that this handset has downloaded 5504MB of data in one minute -- is this right or am I misunderstanding how the charges are worked out.
If I have misundestood could someone help me undestand the way the charges are built up or point me to a link to another site??.
Incidently I have noticed that O2 my Tesco Mobile supplier has had a problem with data charges in 2010, maybe they still have eh!!.
Some expert help needed before I complain to O2 please.
TIA
