Hey, did anyone had problem with the market on CM9 ICS rom for galaxy s, i flashed it few times but it's always the same problem the market is slow, the download starts with ~600kb then after a few seconds 200kb then stops and after 15 min it starts again but with 2kb speed. My internet speed is 8mbps. Now I'm using DarkyRom 10.4.2 and the market works great. I tried other ICS rom for galaxy s like EliteV7.1, DocMaster ICS, OneCosmic's ICS and Teamhacksung's ICS build 17 but it's always the same problem.

Hey all, I have tried before an failed to upgrade to ICS, ended up soft bricking phone, and managing to recover to JVU. I would still love to give ICS a try, but am a little nervous after the last attempt. If it really is as easy as stated in an earlierpost here ( Flash cwm with odin.

2. Transfer ics rom to your internal memory.

3. Reboot phone into recovery mode

4. Perform data/cache wipe.

5. Select to install zip from memory card.

6. locate your ics rom and install it.

Congratulations you now have ICS. It really is that easy.)

then I definately want to give it a go. I think though that I may now have an issue as each time I have tried to update anything through CWM, I get aborted effort, and the e-signature verification failed, so if I follow the steps above does anyone think I will have issues due to to the signature verification issue.
I have CWM installed CWM Managerv2.0.
Phone details: 2.3.6 | XXJVU | 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVU-CL851880

Any assistance / thoughts would be appreciated.

^Did you have rooted your phone, before you install clockwork and tried to flash ICS

Rento, yes I was previously on Darky ROM JW1, all rooted etc.

Hmmm strange, i was too on darkyrom 10.4.2 and 10.2.2 when i flashed to ICS rom. I have tried four ICS rom and all flashed without a problem.
I would try to instal DarkyROM 10.2 Resurrection edition, flash it via odin and then try to instal ICS on the 10.2.

Hi Rento, thanks mate, might just do that, phone is up for upgrade in May, so might also hang on. Don't want to run the risk of soft brick again, took me ages to get it sorted. But the flashitis is strong in me, and would love to see what ICS is like it looks very nice.
Downloading 10.2 RE now, maybe..............
