I tried this rom for a few days last week. Too many things not quite right for me to use it as an everyday but a really, really good starting point.

Things that didn't work were video playback didn't work and song playback wasn't possible.(on 3 different players no less!) even the stock player, which also showed multiple copies of each track on my SD card even though there weren't.

I could't remove any files from the external card either and a few apps didn't display properly (showed in a tiny window and didn't show the entire app).

Minor niggles but for me, enough to make me go back to Darky for now.

Can't wait until HE gets the Samsung stock ROM to play with and port to the SGS!

You really believe that our SGS is going to get an ICS upgrade?

No but the sgs2 if, so I think the Darky team will port that across to the sgs. Time will tell. Failing that, the xda cm9 is very promising.

I've never seen Darky team port anything to be honest. Just ROM modders, I can be wrong, dont usually go down other peoples custom ROMs anymore....Just build my own :-D lol

Think the only hope of ICS for SGSI is CM9. As Biccy says "very promising", I agree with him. So far its looking very good. And very tempted to flash lol Do i Dare risk my perfect JVT??? lol

    Help!

Just tried tp install this and followed the instructions, but when installing the .zip it seems to be stuck in a loop. Says Galaxy S Cynagen, then Green android background and loads of data starts streaming up the screen then it just seems to reboot, been doing it for 5 mins now. Whats gone wrong??

tried that, totally froze the phone up, couldn't even get into recovery. Only download, so had to flash some other firmware on it and now it's stock again. Thing is, now I don't seem to be able to get it to run at all.

Dont quite get why it isnt working for you. I have been changing from CM7 to this build, back to stock then back to the ICS build again with no problem. Only suggestion I can make is to flash CM7 first, then go to the ICS build from there.
