Using MHL link as TV Web Browser

    Hi,
I want to know if anyone has found a method of using an MHL to HDMI adapter with the SGS2 and a HDTV to watch UK catch-up tv in at least SD and pref. HD quality (when available).
The S2's 800x480 native video mode looks terrible on my Samsung HDTV, yet I can watch downloaded (or S2 recorded HD) video in full 1080p HD via the MHL to TV link.

So what stops e.g. streaming of 4oD through the phone in SD or HD format to the MHL link.

I assume that a method is available to prevent automatic mobile detection and instead impersonate a HDTV (about:useragent?)?

Given that SamyGO contributors have succeeded in "retrieving" Samsung's PVR TV functions it should be possible to use the SGS2 to emulate what only the latest and most expensive TV set-ups can do (i.e. full web browsing via touch-screen remote).

    Comments anyone...??

Dolphin Browser HD allows you to set the useragent so I'd have thought that would work - I can't test it as I've not got the adapter.
