Network connectivity issues!

Ever since getting my sg2, I have always had a problem with the 3g. My phone when it connects proceeds only to upload, showing only the green arrow pointing up. This happens randomly, and it happens across all the different platforms of network connection the sg2 has. The issue is incredibly annoying as my phone can't download data, meaning I cant access the internet. The issue when it happens does seem to correct itself after sometime and with me fiddling around with it, but I am yet to find a permanent solution to fix the problem. My friend recommended I turn of data and turn it back on, which does help but is very hit and miss, and the issue can still very much be present when I turn data back on. The only solution which seems to work 100% of the time is turning the phone off and on again, however this is pointlessly annoying and quite a nuisance. What I'm asking is does anyone have a fix to this issue, because I'm dieing to get it fixed.

I have the galaxy s (i know you have the second one but I have similar issues) I can't help unfortunately but i'm hoping someone else can.
My 3G stops working when I am out and about and I have to switch my phone off and back on again to make it work. It's ridiculous that I have a "smart" phone yet it is incapable of doing anything "smart" as soon as I leave my house. Very annoying. I called O2 and after MONTHS of me moaning, they took my phone away and sent me a new one. I STILL have the same problem, leading me to believe it is a network issue. So contact you're provider and moan and moan. That's all I have been doing because I have no other option :-(

Have you tried a different sim, or get them to send you one If other sims/networks work OK then you'll know what the problem is. Otherwise it mite be a good idea to upgrade your phones firmware (DON'T trust kies on this, it likes to lie).
