I noticed that when you use google maps the WIFI turns on automatically. Obviously when driving around there aren't any wifi networks to connect to and it just eats up the battery doing this. Is there any way to stop it from doing this? Thanks.

Unstick Setting > location and security > use wireless network?
No luck. Still does the same thing.

can anyone give me a copy of Google maps? i accidentally erased it. And it's no longer available in the Market.
