I would flash the Stock rom from SamMobile as I know where it has come from.
There is no compatibility issues as I also use an Orange sim and have no issues.

Ok thankyou i will do that, will this mean my phone is now sim unlocked or not?
Don't think it will be sim unlocked, think there is more of a process involved with doing that.
okay cheers it has just finished downloading i will flash it now, if it doesnt boot shell i trying doing a factory restart and boot it again?
how do i add the zip file to odin? i clicked pda and the zip folder is not showing up
there is one labled odin, maybe i should select that one as it is a tar file and the rest and MD5, maybe its a shortcut or something? My mistake it is a pit file shell i add it in the pit section? and start

What files are you talking about now? Did you download the stock firmware from SamMobile? If so then you will 5 files but will only need 4:

PHONE = MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar.md5
CSC = GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar.md5 (This is the full CSC, the other Home CSC contains only has a few regions)
Yes that is the one i have entered that, so now all i do is put my phone into download mode? (vol- and home and power) then start?
Yup, you can then start.
I thought you were referring to the other firmware with the .dll
Remember that the boot up may take some time, up to 12 mins.
