    I would flash the Stock rom from SamMobile as I know where it has come from.

    There is no compatibility issues as I also use an Orange sim and have no issues.

    Don't think it will be sim unlocked, think there is more of a process involved with doing that.

    If you click PDA and you cannot see the file then you could try unzipping the files and see if you can then select either one.

    Honestly though I would still use the I9000XXJVT from SamMobile.

    What files are you talking about now? Did you download the stock firmware from SamMobile? If so then you will 5 files but will only need 4:

    Tick repartition

    Pit = s1_odin_20100512.pit
    PDA = CODE_I9000XXJVT_CL617736_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.m d5
    PHONE = MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar.md5
    CSC = GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar.md5 (This is the full CSC, the other Home CSC contains only has a few regions)

    Yup, you can then start.

    I thought you were referring to the other firmware with the .dll

    Remember that the boot up may take some time, up to 12 mins.
